A few people online have wondered if the reason the producers acted differently was because of where the show is located, because apparently the "rules" for these sorts of things are much more strict in Australia? But I agree with you that it's more likely that a mandate came down after the ugly Gary/Ashley incident that producers need to intervene to prevent things like this. It reminds me of the Bachelor in Paradise incident between Corinne and a man whose name I don't remember, but this time it was actually on tape, which makes it even uglier. I wonder if, like Bachelor in Paradise did, this show needs to institute a "number of drinks per hour" limit?
I don't watch this show, but saw clips of Luke on Twitter (but not Laura, which is interesting. I didn't know anything about that until I read it here). How awful! I have a feeling that there will be new rules instituted next season.
